All-time Australia XIs - A re-run

There's no such position as 4th seamer and the last sentence literally doesn't make any sense.

I'm not going to relitigate, but the amount of overs he will be getting, IMO isn't worth the tremendous drop off in batting.

That's it.
Miller's batting isn't like Imran's batting here. His record undershells his ability because he played in very low scoring era and batted up the order, also doesn't have many not outs. He's significantly better batsman than context less average shows, bit like stokes. Of course you will NEVER EVER accept this for obvious reasons.

Don't know the reasons, but feel free to share.

But a chunk of his career was in the 40's as well.

35 is 35, but I'll not derail the thread.

Putting it again here since it might have got lost due to the discussion. I will create a separate discussion thread like we had for L&L's ranking threads.

Now please select..

1. the best spin bowling option
2. Numbers 4 and 5 in the batting order

Shane Warne and Steve Smith get voted into the first XI unanimously while it was quite close between Chappell and Border before Chappell pulled away while Ponting did try to make a late dash which went in vain.

Don't think his average is a problem. Very large career length and doesn't have much padding or a big home/away swing.

How are you tallying the votes for the batting position's? I get smith and chappell get in because they got the most votes, but did smith get the most votes explicitly for #5? Feels weird to put smith at 5 when he got the most votes and he's batted 4 for more of his career.

Now, please vote your choice for the below.

1. Select a wicket keeper
2. Pick a third seamer or second spinner
3. Pick the 11th and final player to fit the team post your two picks above

We are not doing any voting on batting position. I just kept him at 5 because that's where he was in the second XI in the 2018 poll. I will move him to number 4 if that is the consensus and move Chappell to 5.
