This but Lindwall instead of Davo.Gilchrist
O'Reilly if Miller picked; else (Davidson)
Miller
I just don't get it.So it looks like Gilchrist, O'Reilly and Miller.
Not sure why people need a 2nd spinner for normal conditions when Warne is your main spinner. Simpson also to throw down a few leggies
Which conditions are "normal"? 2 spinners + Miller as the third seamer is the ideal balance in Asia, the SCG (for most of its history), Durban, and the slower West Indian pitches. So it looks like Gilchrist, O'Reilly and Miller.

Probably because you're very myopic.I just don't get it.
At the moment is an era that is significantly more pace-biased than most eras through history. And at the risk of putting to words the obvious, basing all-time XIs on modern standards sucks.Well looking at teams atm it seems to be split between subcontinental and non-subcontinental teams. Sub continental teams will usually have two spinners and those outside it will usually have one (plus part timers). Seems to be condition dependant, touring sides will often play 2 spinners in India but yeah if you’re picking an all time country XI you’re gonna play more games at home.

Or because in this hypothetical contest the only other contenders would be WI, SA and possibly England or Pakistan and that line up vs especially the first 3, isn't conducive to playing multiple spinners.Which conditions are "normal"? 2 spinners + Miller as the third seamer is the ideal balance in Asia, the SCG (for most of its history), Durban, and the slower West Indian pitches.
