Do SC Pacers Deserve More Credit For Home Performances?

So to summarize the opposing argument, it is ok to give SC bowlers credit for home performances:

- As long as we make it clear that they found their own ways to adapt, so it wasn't a big deal

- As long as we can ignore it in favor of away performances

- As long as it can never affect our ratings and ranking of these bowlers. Ever.
Yes to all, except no one ignores Asian players doing well at home. Stop being dramatic. Several of us already say we give them credit. But you're not deducting 2 points like that in isolation or whatever in isolation.

Wow I was being sarcastic in that post but apparently it wasn't a strawman...

I think my point is that over a career, I don't see Kapil averaging that bad in England. However, it is a legitimate fail in his away record. But this is irrelevant to the main point of this thread.
Over a career I don’t see Botham averaging as bad as he was in India.

But Ntini's home conditions were not flat. We know this. If Ntini had played all his career on flat home decks and done brilliantly, but still failed away from home, dont you think he'd deserve credit for how he bowled at home despite failing overseas?
Sure.

But he has his lobsided record from not having flat decks at home. His records track the reality of conditions, as they tend to for the vast majority of bowlers in general. When a bunch of players have lobsided records, it's worth asking why. The Pak players all having GOAT home stats with weak (realitively) away records do not track this. It's either a huge coincidence that 3 ATGs who did notably better in tough conditions played together, or their job at home was not actually that tough.

Well if you want to assume Kapil would average much better in England if he was from there, why can’t I assume Botham would average much better in India if he was from there?
Well, ofcourse you can assume that. And I can assume that Kapil would be better than Malcolm Marshall in West Indies and Dennis Lillee in Australia.....

Here's a logical question given the following pool of bowlers and considering only bowling who would be your 3 picks for an atg xi assuming that team would be playing worldwide:
Ambrose, Imran, Wasim, Hadlee, McGrath, Steyn, Lillee, Donald, Trueman, Marshall. I'm picking Marshall, McGrath and Hadlee. Who are you picking Subz?

Hey I’m just building on the point someone made that Kapil would be way better in England

Even besides the fact that we're talking about Asian pacers in general, not just pakistani, and not just the ATG ones, the bolded part isn't even true. Wasim has basically no difference in his numbers whether he plays home or away, or in Asia vs outside Asia.

I just dont think that approach of analyzing this is valid. We can pretty easily observe how bowler friendly surfaces are while watching and I think its generally accepted that pitches in Asia are are less conducive to pace bowling pretty much by design.
