Just a reminder of that time when Kuldeep took five wickets in Australia, Shastri instantly declared him India's best overseas spinner. So they never really rated this guy Ashwin.

Ashwin's comments show how much he values a fifer away which you guys discredit: 'In that moment, though, I felt crushed. Absolutely crushed. We all talk about how important it is to enjoy your team-mates' success. And I was happy for Kuldeep. I have not been able to get a five-for but he has a five-for in Australia. I know how big it is. Even when I have bowled well [at other times], I haven't ended up with a five-for.'

Kohli in 2018: Rayudu will be our no 4 for odi wc

2019 WC time: Rayudu gets dropped because he aint 3d enough compared to ****ing Shankar for no 4 spot

next we’ll see the Southampton test brought up as an eg of Ashwin failing to perform away when Moeen Ali won the test for England if we keep going in reverse chronological order :whistling

That test. Also second test SA 2018 on a sporting pitch in the 3rd innings.

Maybe they knew something about Ashwin we don't otherwise I would have preferred Ashwin to Jadeja in England.
yeah they knew Jadeja was a better batsman for no 7

like half of this thread’s queries and arguments can be shutdown with the answer like always being Jadeja

I think I read somewhere Ashwin himself felt he underperformed in that test. But anyways, still waiting for him to run through a side in SENA.

I'm still waiting for a proper response Subzi, but unlike the case with Ashwin, we know that you'll never be able to deliver one.

he did underperform in that test by overexperimenting with variations but no idea if that also had something to do with injury
