And that's completely fine, probably majority shares your sentiment. I just feel Chappell's more rounded record, Trumper's legacy, Border's tenacity and Waugh's dependable nature; just places them a little ahead of Ponting.
I would explain why I have him higher, but don't need that argument again. Chappell tbh is hugely boosted by WSC to that position.

Border and Waugh had to face some serious attacks, and they get credit for that as well

As I said, there are reasons both for and against each and every single one of them and I definitely rate players a bit different than you.

Where would you place Trumper among Aussie batters?? I can definitely see arguments for Trumper to be with Hill, but I don't think placing him so high is unjustifiable really.....
I’m not sure tbh (though probably? outside the top 10) and I’m not saying its unjustifiable, its that the reasons usually used for placing him so highly aren’t things that I necessarily place high importance in when rating batsmen. e.g SR, peer rating

I would say you both rank Shiv too low :)
Same with Ponting. Excellent longevity, no clear weakness; but the 10 batsmen ahead of him are 3 2nd best after Bradman competitors, the Black Don, 3 Ws, Rohan Kanhai, the big cat and Sir Cuthbert..... It's really tight.
