The bellyaching from Ponting (and then Brayshaw following on) about Jospeh being on strike instead of Sinclair then was one of the dumbest bits of commentary I've ever heard.

Yeah, don't really get that. It's not like it's Lara at the other end while Courtney Walsh was on strike.

You reckon? Deck seemed pretty easy to bat on once the ball gets soft. Reckon the windies are behind unless they go crazy with the new ball or bat out atleast the first session tommorow.
I've heard conflicting things about the weather. On one hand that the weekend might be a washout or that it is possibly only the back end of the test, by which time WI would likely be very much up against it anyway?

Nintendo

Cricketer Of The Year
He had a good 'A' tour of South Africa and done well for Guyana in the fc tournament last year.

If he can take an all-rounder slot then that means JDS could move up to 5 or 6.
Yeah JDS is definitely one of those guy's who should be batting higher. Don't have specific number's to back this up, but every time i've seen him in the runs at the level below this it's been opening, or atleast batting lower down the order.

I think this is a 400 par pitch tbh, so we're still way behind but it at least gives us something to go with and if we can bat for an hour or so in the first session the Aussie top order will be facing the new ball at the most challenging time to bat. So at least it will be some sort of challenge for the Aussies.

International Regular
I don’t see how the Windies are ahead. The pitch is flat, they’ll likely be bowled out early tomorrow and the ball will be old by the time the lights come on. Likely not get a new ball late on either.

If WI bat 8 overs today there will be no new ball under lights tonight.

I hope they smack 34 in 4 overs to make 300 and then have 4 overs with 2nd new ball just before stumps
