That’s the problem you get when you pick a coach who has played with all these guys, he isn’t going to make the big calls and cut his mates when the time comes@Howsie explain c00ps
Us Counties-Manukau fellas never get a fair shakeCase in point Sandeep Patel. Makes 140 odd first game of the season, gets dropped one game later. Scores 90 against Bangladesh and still can’t get a run. He’ll be the next guy to move or worse just chuck cricket in
****ing Woke ND****ing Woke ND
*plays Kuggs*
Hahaha this made me LOL for real.Cooper isn't even good enough to hit it straight up.
I was at that match. Ruined by Finn clogging up the match for bloody ages.
He'll always have the memories of smashing Broad and Anderson to every corner of the Uni Oval. Best of luck for the future HRud!
I mean, ignoring the use of "woke" which I'm struggling to see is applicable, I have often wondered about getting freshly retired blokes to come and coach the team they've just left - and whether this tends to lead to a bias towards players they know and have played with rather than players they are less likely to have seen. That’s the problem you get when you pick a coach who has played with all these guys, he isn’t going to make the big calls and cut his mates when the time comes
ND has some serious issues. Worrying about **** that has nothing to do with cricket, woke as ****. Players getting picked not just on cricket ability in both the first and ‘A’ teams. Aging rapidly, losing guys in there mid 20’s who are giving up the game due to not getting a sniff.

I've heard the same thing about ND's administration, incidentally...using the exact 'woke' term Howsie used. I wouldn't have a clue, just saying that's what I've been told. Wild irony given the history of their main all-rounder, of course.I mean, ignoring the use of "woke" which I'm struggling to see is applicable, I have often wondered about getting freshly retired blokes to come and coach the team they've just left - and whether this tends to lead to a bias towards players they know and have played with rather than players they are less likely to have seen.
Other than Sandeep Patel (whose case I was wondering about prior to your post, particularly given ND's batting travails through the Super Smash), who else should be in the line-up? How does someone like Flynn McGregor-Sumpter come into the equation - given he's transferred from Auckland. Scott Johnston was given a contract in the first 15, but hasn't played since a decent FC outing in February (is he injured? - seems to have largely been playing as a batsman only for Manukau)
Also for selectors. See Smith, Ed and Denly, Joe.You've got to create a hierarchy and a barrier for yourself as a coach, which I'm not sure exists if you coach guys you played with and are a very similar age.
Well, the word woke does tend to get overused. The all-rounder referred to suggests it doesn't apply here. Woke shouldn't be used as a synonym for biased or just plain ****.I've heard the same thing about ND's administration, incidentally...using the exact 'woke' term Howsie used. I think it's attached to the Pride round and a few other parts of 'inclusion' that have put a few people's beaks out of order (for better or worse). But I agree, the word woke is like snowflake - it's used a lot by mouthbreathers and people with low IQs. Except Howsie, he's awesome.Well, the word woke does tend to get overused.
