And a first entry of the Australian test match season for Mitch Marsh with a 90 v Pakistan.
Rahul 101We need a pretty little 100–110s thread
A fair point but instead of perhaps India ending upn150 all out or possibly less, India have around 100 more than they might have got. Against this South Africa batting lineup on this pitch, India are in the match when they could be out of it.Rahul 101
Oh it could really be a match winner! Guess we'll find out by close of play.A fair point but instead of perhaps India ending upn150 all out or possibly less, India have around 100 more than they might have got. And a team entry from South Africa. In a rather whirlwind day of test cricket with no less than 3 completed innings across two tests, Rizwan, Salman and Jamal get three entries for Pakistan in Sydney. You get the impression that at least one of them needed to ton up to really put any kind of pressure on Australia.
I wasn't sure if it was appropriate but I guess that as time has gone on, anything goes on this thread! And a team entry from South Africa.
It's come to something when we start complaining about a double entry for Crawley on this thread. He looked comfortable in both innings and somehow got out. Still not sure how that lbw ended up pitching so far in line, looked miles off on first view and can see why it wasn't given. It would be remiss of me not to mention Zak Crawley for a double-entry for the Vizag test match. The first innings he will regret a bit more I would suggest as that tonning up there would have got England far more back into the match than they eventually did.
It is interesting to look at the records of players such as him and Pope and the clear contrast of their performances under Stokes/McCullum compared with their earlier careers. Crawley is now around 36 since the start of that era compared with an average around 26 or so before. Pope was also high 20s but now above 35 too and his record at 3 is pretty good. too. However, Crawley would have been kicking himself that he didn't go on and score a ton first innings and that might also have given England more of a shot at the match. It's come to something when we start complaining about a double entry for Crawley on this thread.
