Enthusiastically soYou really think NZ are beating SL?
Yeah, would be pretty disappointed if we didn't. But if SL play like they are today, who knows?Enthusiastically so
Then we gotta hope he doesn't bowl like last game...If Wood plays as well as last game we will sneak to 200. Game on!
Extra bowling option this game so he won't be required, he's in for his superior batting like Garner. Then we gotta hope he doesn't bowl like last game...
Oh I'd agree with that criticism but what I've been specifically seeing is that they don't play domestic List A games and that just seems completely misplaced to me. When was the last time any top side had its internationals playing List A games?I think the criticism has more been that they don't play ODIs anymore either. England have played amongst the least ODIs of any team since the last World Cup, and in many of those they played B and C teams. Not playing List A cricket doesn't matter if you've got a competitve group of players regularly playing ODIs, but they... didn't.
I do think that has played a part, especially since they did the total opposite in the last cycle.
You mean Wiley?Wood yes
Agree on that point, but Mark Butcher made the point that the fact our List A comp is basically a 2nd XI Trophy shows how poor the ECB’s attitude towards one day cricket is. And then you add that point I made earlier RE how are you going to make your case for selection. If you’re a promising youngster you’re probably playing in the Hundred. So then you have Brook and Atkinson picked on T20/long form ability and potential rather than 50 over credentials.Oh I'd agree with that criticism but what I've been specifically seeing is that they don't play domestic List A games and that just seems completely misplaced to me. Root would still be out there if that had happenedImagine what a shambles this would be if they'd reviewed Bairstow 1st ball.
