Yep, a real contender for one of the most boring.Emburey was a very negative bowler.
He was probably a yard and a half quicker in his pomp which made a difference.Have you ever watched him bowl? He could make even Anderson entertaining in comparison.
He had a smooth action, just the right amount of movement and on-point accuracy. Don't know what you are talking about.Have you ever watched him bowl? He could make even Anderson entertaining in comparison.
Yeah extremely strange but it's true. Not like Ambrose could move the ball like Asif or Philander. And he was also pretty negative towards the end of his career. Probably has to do with him being a yard faster.Ambrose was far more exciting than McGrath despite their styles being very similar.
What does that even mean? You can't succeed in test cricket with just negative bowling.Yeah extremely strange but it's true. Not like Ambrose could move the ball like Asif or Philander. And he was also pretty negative towards the end of his career. Probably has to do with him being a yard faster.
Yeah was comedy gold tbhI think Glenn McGrath has them both covered. But McGrath's batting must have been quite funny tbf
only because reddit and every other internet place overrates him to the moon and SaturnKallis being bad is absolutely a CW meme now. But it came about due to him being retroacticely overrated by a lot of people. Pretty sure 95% of the time people talk about Kallis being bad (in Tests) it's mostly in jest.
Anderson definitely underrated here though, but not nearly by as much as he's overrated everywhere else
He had a jab pull with one leg in the air to the quicks that was pretty unique too.I personally loved the pick up pull he used off spinners who dropped short. Hardly seemed to hit it and it would fly for six.
Wow so quirkyI personally find players who succeed with unique or “unwatchable” techniques far more interesting to watch than those with more classical techniques.
I try as hard as I can.Wow so quirky
If Shiv was slapping the ball to the boundary on a regular basis then fine, but all that funkiness in his set up just to leave ball after ball? No, ta.I personally find players who succeed with unique or “unwatchable” techniques far more interesting to watch than those with more classical techniques.
At least Garner hit dingers.McGrath was far more boring than Kallis or Anderson. By far the most boring ATG along with Boycott.
Personally I enjoy the funk. The whole funk. And nothing but the funk.If Shiv was slapping the ball to the boundary on a regular basis then fine, but all that funkiness in his set up just to leave ball after ball? No, ta.
