If you felt like sleeping so what? Sleep then you dumb mfer. Don't feel obligated to watch lol.
I am sorry I wasn't aware there were chaps like you who would wake up at 3am to watch Kallis bat.

But Dravid’s were fine.

People just like to **** on Kallis because his stats are so great that people can’t accept he wasn’t the pretty fantasized player they wanted.
Yes because Dravid in a lineup where he played a backbone role counter to aggressive bats around him. Kallis was a dour accumulator in a lineup of accumulators until the last phase of his career.

Kallis wasn't rated that highly in his prime because he wasn't seen as a threatening bat like others. You revisionists are painting a Kallis that never existed.

What is this crap about India’s lineup compared to SA’s? They were equally aggressive as each other, though obviously Sehwag was on a different level to Smith.

Sehwag himself is probably distorting your memory as a severe outlier.

Kirsten, Cullinan, etc. weren't. Sehwag, Sachin were.

So ignore the aggressive ones, that helps.

Its all crap anyway.

Assuming a guy plays 100 balls. On average Kallis will score 46, Tendulkar will score 54.

However Tendulkar will be out and Kallis will stick around for another 20 balls and score 55.

Oh my gosh Tendulkar you so amazingly aggressive wahhhhhh.

Note: I don’t consider Kallis equal to Tendulkar as a batsman this is just an example of how **** this SR bs is.

It doesn't work like that. SR is merely an indication of actual playing style. Tendulkar created rather than waited for opportunities to score, he could step up his gear when settled and change the momentum of the game, all of which affect the opposition. You just see a number.

Kallis couldn't or didn't for much of his career, playing like a 🤖 and lowering the relative standards of cricket by infecting his lineup with his defensive play, often costing his teams wins too.

So relative to actual ATGs, he deserves to be penalised for that.

While I believe Kallis should be slightly downgraded for his slower strike rate, I don't rate him as lowly as you do.

But that being said, you can't defend Dravid while still going after Kallis. Basically the same, regards who went bigger.

They aren't but Dravid and Kallis both aren't ATG bats for me. I am just saying Dravid doubletonned more which is just a fact.

Curious then, how many batsmen do you consider ATG, and whom?
ATG Bats:
Bradman
Tendulkar
Sobers
Viv
Hobbs
Smith
Lara
Hammond
Gavaskar
Hutton
Headley
Pollock
Chappell
Ponting
Sutcliffe
Border
Waugh

Maybe I am missing one or two like Barrington or one of the 3Ws. Sanga is borderline. Kallis somewhere 20 to 25.
