I just think the Indians have actually won more often in more varied conditions than the Pakistani team.

I also think history has shown that a battery of high quality but not ATG pace bowlers can produce incredible results, which are not that far ATG teams. That;s where the batting difference comes in, and its large.
You do also realise that those Pakistani teams faced much better teams than current India have. Like you know, 80’s Windies and 90’s Australia?

Anyway its still Pakistan, but India has closed the gap a lot in the last decade or so.

Logical question would be, what is the cut off then for longevity? X number of years or X number of tests? I say this because it wouldn't be fair to cricketers pre 70s/80s. None of this really applies to either India or Pakistan given that most of their greats are from modern times just something to ponder.
Modern cricketers from 70s onwards would be 200 wickets.

Before that, number of years, not sure how many but close to eight to ten likely.

Bumrah is different case and a better bowler than all of Asif, Fazal and Shaheen especially, because in a short span he’s had great series across multiple conditions unlike the above.

I think India will win in any spinning deck against the other two pretty easily.

I think Pak will have an edge on flat tracks and tracks that may have very little for the bowlers.

SL may actually sneak up on proper greentops that swing a mile IMO. Murali can be a weapon on those tracks in a way neither of the other teams' spinners could be.

Bouncy conditions would be fun coz its a kryptonite for Pak teams and SL teams even with their best fast bowlers. And for India, while relatively less of a struggle, it will still be tough conditions to negotiate.
Greentops? The game would like be over before Murali can be involved. This is what will happen on a greentop.

Overall yes Bumrah is the best but like I said, Asif is probably the best new ball bowler I have seen and Shaheen is also exceptional in that regard so I think on swinging wickets including Fazal they will be deadly.

What is with all this Shaheen love ? The bloke averages over 36 against SENA countries and 37+ without a single 5 wicket haul in SENA countries. Lord Thakur is a more accomplished test bowler overseas.
It's still early days, the guy is 23 but is slowly coming into his own.

On topic, yes Pakistan ATG team is better on raw quality than Indian ATG team. However, in a 5 match series against another ATG team, I would expect Pakistan ATGs to miss more matches than their Indian counterparts, which might make their overall series performances a bit more comparable.
