They really were.

It was a very bizarre type of dreadful too; they didn't lose their heads or their discipline, just seemed to be bereft of a plan B once it became clear that England's front five weren't going to allow their necks be shoved backwards through their arseholes.
They combined every possible type of bad rugby into one performance. The constant handling errors and daft penalties were one thing, but I can’t remember ever seeing an international side handle the Garryowen so badly. It resulted in a very retro type of game where the extra man was a complete non-factor.

I genuinely have a soft spot for the Brave/Cherry Blossoms, but definitely rooting for the Chileans today.

#9 butchered a two man overlap, but think they might've just spawned a try anyway.

Yup, TMO confirms it. 5-0 to the debutants, kick to come.

EDIT: Extras duly slotted.

They absolutely did; witness that ridiculous drop goal attempt in the first half. That's not something a calm team attempts.

Fair shout. Maybe not losing their collective rags is a better way to put it.

An Argentine side of yore could well have got a little fighty in that situation, but tempers were kept in check.

They should have done something than being outright pathetic

Yeah terrible late tackle, no idea what he was doing.

Straight line out rules need a rethink IMO. Enforcement is based almost entirely on whether the ball travelled far enough for the angle to be noticeable.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Curry at his hearing on Tuesday. I'd have previously expected a 2 game ban. But since then we've seen a Chilean receive a yellow and a S African receive no penalty at all for a head on head collision. I have no doubt these incidents will be used in Curry's defence. Absolutely no consistency at all be used in the decision making.
