English Domestic Season 2023

FBU

International Debutant
Worcestershire took 20 minutes to beat Leicestershire this morning. Worcs go 2nd in div 2 but level on points with Leicestershire.

Both teams are 44 points behind Durham but that doesn't takeninto account the points Durham will get from their current match.
Tongue joined late 16* and 12-3-29-5. Would love to see him in the 5th Test at The Oval.

Jack Haynes goes from Worcs to Notts.
Well there's a middle order bat instead of Du Plooy. Tongue gone to Notts too from Worcs.

@chris.hinton are you a Worcs fan? Must be pretty gutting losing talented young players.

Durham had their bones picked after our relegation but Worcs still in with a chance of promotion back to division one.

Hell of a dogfight going on beneath us for the second spot mind.

I don't think it'll happen, but it'd be very funny if next season Notts and their team that's half made up of Worcestershire academy graduates are playing in Div 2 and Worcestershire in Div 1

Haynes replaces Duckett, I guess, and I suppose he's more likely to be on the selector's radar.

Notts seem pretty well stocked for bowlers already but I suppose Fletcher is getting on and Ball's past his peak (did he have one?)

James Rew followers may want to take a look at him, just coming in at 57 for 4.

Almost as young Tom Lawes with three of the wickets to fall.

No sign of Atkinson yet as, bizarrely, Burns is giving Jacks a lengthy spell in the first session of the match.

Kent may be regretting not making Ollie Robinson their keeper, went to Durham.

Keeping for Kent in the championship today is that well known keeper, Harry Finch.

Cox dropped or injured? See he's had a pretty poor season.

If we look at who are the backups, to the backup in Foakes. Rew and Robinson both had excellent seasons, as has Smith but not kept in the CC.

So Cox has fallen behind in the pecking order even if he's injured and not dropped.

5 from 36 I see

He's got nee chance of England with that dig-in attitude

Middlesex are 10/2 in reply to Warks 60 all. Could it be 60 plays 60 :shocking:

And gone without adding to those 5.

Middlesex now 16 for 3, with Warwickshire fancying a first innings lead.

Elsewhere, Essex's bowlers are making short work of Hampshire, who may not even make three figures.

See Rew got out in Bazball style trying to hook one he shouldn't have
