English Domestic Season 2023

Lots of wickets going down at Oakham today. Hope that someone puts a stand together soon so as not to put the outground pitch in a bad light. Blackpool started out not looking so good last week but then seemed to become easier for batsmen.

Some shocking LBW decisions in county games this morning. Two from Mir Hamza at Edgbaston obviously missing leg stump. Tom Westley looked like he hit the cover off it, and Alastair Cook given out to one clearly pitching outside leg.

Durham recovered from 8/2 to 300/2.

292 runs partnership from 300 balls by Lees and Beddingham.

Lees first to 1000 runs in the CC during partnership and his fourth ton in his last 5 innings.

If Worcestershire complete a win over Leicestershire they will put themselves in the mix for promotion however they would have to face division one without many of their current squad. Leicestershire themselves could conceivably be in a similar position.

Worcestershire took 20 minutes to beat Leicestershire this morning. Worcs go 2nd in div 2 but level on points with Leicestershire.

Both teams are 44 points behind Durham but that doesn't takeninto account the points Durham will get from their current match.
