*Official* India in West indies 2023

Would it be better to have an Under 23 side in First Class Cricket. Get the Academy playing some competitive games to enhanse their development
Exactly right. I think the academy are supposed to play in the next 4 day season and there has been talk of an under 23 league.

It's a clear problem. Look at T & Ts squad for example, it has noone under the age of 25 and people like Jason Mohammed are given contracts when they are in their mid late 30s averaging 28 in FC cricket.

It's also why Jacob Bethel chose to move to England, there is just no route for under 23s unless you are insanely gifted like a Seales or a Hety.

The Wheel is Forever
I've only been following the score and not able to watch the Test. Have the West Indies really produced a rank turner to play against India of all teams, or is the gulf in quality here just so depressingly chasmic that the pitch didn't really matter?
While definitely bit of both, if you had asked the Indian team what kind of pitch they wanted, they would have made this one - basically nullified WI advantages and accentuated the WI disadvantages. The Indian pace attack this year was new and inexperienced while the spin attack was world class. WI has a much better pace than spin attack. Yet they chose to let the Indian pacers off the hook and neutralize their own bowlers.
