*Official* India in West indies 2023

yes they missed the guy who averaged 14 last year and the other guy who averaged below 20 in his last 3 years of tests and didnt play any test in the last year

but if there is one thing they need it is for sure more mediocre test players from Barbados
G.s Kohli needs to get with the program. He's lapsing.

Brooks is probably Lord Emperor Sir His Majesty Desmond Haynes' favorite player.

Former Westindies captain's son Reifer should not sends at #3
You need specialist batsmen in caliber of Dareen Bravo ( just example i think he is done now)

Chanderpaul T
Brathwaite
Brooks
S. Hope
Blackwood (v.c)
Athanaze
Silva
Holder
Joseph
Gudakesh Moti
Seals or Phillip

India not selects the team the way you people thought.

Ashwin as batsman, Average better than rohit & Kohli in westindies that dose not mean you left out Kohli & Rohit from playing xl.

FORM IS TEMPORARY CLASS ALWAYS THERE✍

Dhawan was Average failure in test matches but included in MSD 's xl for years.

If hope & Brooks included they play better than Reifer & others.

Just watched the highlights. The West Indies are certainly welcoming preparing a pitch that played to India's strengths and their weaknesses with both bat and ball.

I think India has a strong chance of an innings victory.

will be nice of Kohli to show the permanent class he hasn’t shown in the last 3 years

and you are proving my point with your examples

Update on this after day 1.

7 out of 10 dismissals were to attacking shots. Captain and vice captain gave their wickets away needlessly.

Carry on like this and there will be no fans of West Indies cricket left by the weekend anyway! There is only so much madness we can all take and the last few weeks have been mental.
Those WC Qualifiers were very stressful indeed .

Ashwin become 1st indian player who dismissed both Father(shivnaraien) & Son ( *Tejnaraine)*

Mitchell starc also removed
Both Chanderpaul father & son
This has to be a rare occurrence, who else could this have possibly happened to , the Broads ? Or maybe the Cairns 🤔

Yeah only 4 years between the test careers Lance (last test in Perth, 1985) and Chris (1st test also in Perth, 1989).

David Boon, Allan Border, Geoff Lawson, John Wright, Martin Crowe, Jeff Crowe, and Ian Smith played in both of those WACA tests (Hadlee injured for the 1989 match, so didn't play).

Ashwin is actually the fifth.

Botham and Akram dismissed the Cairnses.
Starc and Harmer dismissed the Chanderses before Ash too dismissed them.

This is not the Ashes threads.

Historically, the most engagement happens at night (for me when I am sleeping)
So, don't expect much on these threads.

And the English members wouldn't dare to post on this thread /s
It's hard to watch the WI in the state they are in.

Granted I never saw you at the best as the tri series in 2004 with WI and NZ the first I really remember watching when I was 11.

Plus I don't like India so watching them win away is never fun.

As a caveat I did watch enjoy and post during that Mayers knock against Bangladesh.

Shame he hasn't kicked on like most of your players in the last 10 years.

Still England have won once against WI in Wi for 60 years. Such a shame on England that they can't defeat a team like WI.
