*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Christ alive. Feeling like a very 2013/14 mashup innings. Both scary, hyper-quick bowling and annoying lower-middle order partnerships in one.

Turning into another ‘if only’ match already.
We’ve reverted to the Root/ Silverwood era of sloppiness in the field.

Has root dropped the ashes. Our fielding is appalling .Try practicing instead of just doing slogging practice.why does a drop always cost us a hundred but if Australia drop one they up their tempo and create another chance

I hope Travis Head keeps looking terrible against the short ball so England keep bowling it there instead of where all the wicket-taking opportunities are being created.

I was gonna say it feels like we've time travelled back to the last Ashes down under. Wood and woakes are playing, England fielders can't catch a ball to save their lives, keeper is dropping sitters while taking blinders, stokes is getting no ball wickets, Robinson can barely get through one spell before hitting lower than 130, middle order bat noene expected to smash it everywhere walking in and doing just that.

Robinson clocking 126 an hour after lunch on day 1. This guy would be trash if he played for any other country.

This pitch wouldn't have been out of place in 2021/22 either. Looks quite similar to the Brisbane and Hobart pitches in that series.

England pissing away ideal bowling conditions on account for their inability to catch is becoming a consistent theme
