We made 400 then didn't we? But I know what you mean. I think the criticism then was that we'd left too many runs out there due to being over-aggressive but I think it worked out OK. Although I could do without another 2 run margin.Similar day to Edgbaston 05 day 1 actually
Robinson can hold a bat, should've batted above Broad IMO.I don't see Robinson and Anderson staying long. I reckon whose day it is will depend on how Australia fare against the new ball in response to 360 odd.
The main thing was that they put real fear into the Aus bowlers. Mentally with one very obvious exception they never really recovered from that day and were well below par for the rest of the series. We made 400 then didn't we? But I know what you mean. I think the criticism then was that we'd left too many runs out there due to being over-aggressive but I think it worked out OK. Although I could do without another 2 run margin.
He has. Can play back to back games now without his pace dropping massively in the 2nd game. Think he got a stern talking to from the likes of Stokes and Anderson as to what was needed. He listened.Robinson looks like he’s worked pretty hard on his fitness since the last Ashes. Fair play to him
I think he would have if NZ hadn't won the last time he declared early ..Defeats hurtThought Stokes would have declared by now.
Yes.Is 6:30pm local time the latest this can go?
Don't think you declare when your best player is in the 90sI think he would have if NZ hadn't won the last time he declared early ..Defeats hurt
I think Broad makes more sense to go in at 9 when there's still a 2-wicket cushion. Gives him more license.Robinson can bat. He has a better defence than Broad so should have gone in above him to bat for Root.
Yeah I'm a believer that your "can slog a 50" guy should be at 9 rather than 10.I think Broad makes more sense to go in at 9 when there's still a 2-wicket cushion. Gives him more license.
