he should give up bowling. jacob oram, kyle jamieson etc and guys that big will have injury issues if they bowl too muchIf he can avoid injury, he could legit be one of the greatest cricketers of all-time.
Those are both weak kiwis thoughhe should give up bowling. jacob oram, kyle jamieson etc and guys that big will have injury issues if they bowl too much
He's gotten out in the 75-85 region a few times on some much harder decks recently, deserved a chance to bat time on a flat one eventually.Just got home to see Green has tonned up. What a champion. We will ignore the fact it came on a pitch that should come with a side of fries and a medium coke.
I don't mind him tonning up on any kind of pitch. It's just funny the pitches are curated like you're choosing from a fast food takeaway menu. He's gotten out in the 75-85 region a few times on some much harder decks recently, deserved a chance to bat time on a flat one eventually.
Certainly hasn't been a downhill ski either; came in when the match was very much in the balanceI don't mind him tonning up on any kind of pitch. It's just funny the pitches are curated like you're choosing from a fast food takeaway menu.
He has also had to come in when we're already about 400 runs ahead most of the time.Potentially a massive hundred for Australia’s medium term future as I suspect that lack of confidence has been his biggest issue
I think Handscomb was above Renshaw in the pecking order and it's clear that Green is actually quite comfortable on these sorts of pitches. Was about to say I think green being fit would have given us a huge chance at the 2nd test but not 100% on that in hindsight. If green plays then handscomb doesn't and he was crucial to getting us that first innings total.
Head started the second test over renshaw didn't he? Thought renshaw was warner's concussion sub. Maybe Aus play green over head since head was picked partially for his bowling, hard to say.I think Handscomb was above Renshaw in the pecking order and it's clear that Green is actually quite comfortable on these sorts of pitches.
More importantly, could have made a difference with the ball when Axar and Ashwin were putting on that partnership
I think the massive furore over Head's dropping almost forced them to play Head regardless of anything else tbhHead started the second test over renshaw didn't he?
