Players overate and underrate other players too based on their bias, Friendships or Political gains. Its not a conspiracy its to point out the error in the Human Judgement.
I agree, but that's not what you said. You said players were over- and under-rated specifically to keep the cricket business going, as if it'd die if players were rated accurately and there was a plot to ensure that didn't happen.

Anyway the more I reply the more chances you have to keep making bad posts about it so I'll stfu from here.

I want to Create an All Time Imaginary Test Tournament
1) Australia vs England (3 Test Series)
2) South Africa vs West Indies (3 Test Series)
3) India vs Pakistan (3 Test Series)
4) New Zealand vs Sri Lanka (3 Test Series)

A) Winner 1 vs Winner 4 will play 3 Test Series
B) Winner 2 vs Winner 3 will play 3 Test Series

Winner A vs Winner B will play 3 Test Series

Who will Win ? and it will be interesting to choose Venues and players.

Let Australia play England at lords., Then new Zealand at wherever they want, and face the Windies at the SCG
yeah i made every round with 3 Test Series so that a Team won't reach final by Luck. So as you said Lord's will be the best Venue for Australia vs England so see a much more exciting Round.

Surely 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5 is fairer

Aus v SL
WI v NZ
Eng v India
SA v Pak

(Eng, SA, and Pak for 3, 4, 5 is debatable as teams would be close).

There are flaws in this type of format. However, i choose this format as Cricket Fans can see their Traditional Rivals going head to head against each other and Cricket fans should not feel disappointed that they could not see certain match-up at the end of the Tournament.

Its a Test Series so pitch conditions play a prominent role in the outcome of the result. So where we play these Matches is crucial.

Do you purposely want England to lose? Much better choice:

Hobbs
Hutton
Hammond
Barrington
Root
Botham
Knott+
Trueman
Underwood
Anderson
Barnes

Flintoff and Pietersen should be no where close to an England AT XI.
