pound for pound probably the GOAT sports team. Aus Men 1995 - 2007, WI 80s and All Blacks 2008-2017 all up there but they could be and were beaten, and often had to fight very hard for victory.I did have to laugh in the other thread about people wondering if Aus not turning up in the warmups actually meant they were vulnerable. We've seen this movie before, people.
Like, any argument for any other team can immediately be countered with "Tahlia McGrath batted 7". Just a ludicrous and totally unprecedented amount of depth in the squad, even if they've come a little off their peak.pound for pound probably the GOAT sports team. The current Aussie women are just a stupidly unfair team. It's not like England, NZ, India or SA have had bad teams the past few years. The likes of Sciver and Kerr are pound for pound white ball greats across both genders.
There will be one every couple of years, don't worry. But yeah it's encouraging to see youngsters like Capsey and Dunkley settle in so well.England made heavier work of finishing that match against Ireland than they should have. But what a talent Capsey is. I think overall this tournament has come a couple of years too soon for England, they are a side in transition with some very talented young players.
In the second match of the day I'm favouring NZ, primarily based on the bonkers SA selection policy.
Shrubsole has moved on and KSB will be gone soon. Bell, Wong and Kemp have loads of potential though. Spin isn't likely to be an issue for a while. England really need a couple of extra batters to come through. There's a huge drop off in talent below the top tier, from say Knight to Bouchier.England made heavier work of finishing that match against Ireland than they should have. But what a talent Capsey is. Top order has to wear alot of the blame, both games 2 of the top 3 have copped ducks. You don't often win games at 2/0.Hang your heads in shame NZ, utter disgrace. It's not the 2 losses, it's the humiliating margin of them.
Doubt there'll be any accountability sadly.
