Winning the toss such a huge thing for Aus here.

One thing that is often underrated about winter tests in India is the early morning moisture that sometimes does not allow the ball to bounce as much as it usually can. This track is definitely a low bounce one but I am wondering if the ones that kept lower than normal earlier may have had something to do with the winter moisture too. Once the sun beats down, maybe it will settle down?
Moisture generally holds the pitch together and they start crumbling as they dry out

Like that:laugh:

Bad miss from Kohli

This theory of two right handers in so let's bring in two left arm spinners is going overboard imo. Get your best spinner in.

Nah.. went way too fast. We all rave about how great the catch Dravid took off Sachin in Adelaide was, and this one came faster and off a fuller length, much less time to react.

Mind you, if the batsman is Steve Smith, you gotta take those.
There's a guy in the commentary box who would have taken that 8/10 times imo

You're joking right? This was much closer to him. Could've just gone with two hands if he'd been better balanced.

Whatever it takes!!!
I actually agree but that's a product of how slip catching standards have seriously declined since the 2000s IMO. Junior wasn't the only great slipper who would have caught that going around in his day.
Even Kapil and Prabhakar were good slip fielders for us back in the day. Azhar was the best, of course.
