Haynes is a textbook HTB but Hunte averaged under 40 away too, just in an era where no one noticed. And Gayle is ehhh by ATG standards too. Much of a muchness, really.
Wow just checked the stats can go with Chris Gayle instead of Desmond Haynes. Gayle had far better avg of 43 in away to Haynes 33. Gayle is also a good part time bowler and a wonderful fielder.

Hurr durr big number better I am very smart and handsome
tbh it's mostly a longevity thing, and nah that was probably an overreaction from me. Walcott did actually play for 12 years anyhow, but I can't bear to undermine Sir Everton DeCourcy so Clyde was the scapegoat. the 3Ws with much remorse I do believe to be not so good as CW thinks.

I broadly agree with this. Nourse ahead of all of them obviously. But I also think that Chanders is grotesquely overrated. Lloyd has a higher RPI than him despite batting similarly low and more innings of substance so I rate him highly.

In the other thread, you said you always prefer to have a spinner in your team. Now you don't want one here?

Don't like the lack of a 5th bowler but better than Botham getting massive nosebleeds at #6 imo. Stokes lacks the longevity for mine.
Hammond was a very good bowler and more than suffices as a fifth option

Clive Lloyd being underrated isn’t surprising but the guy was a beast and isn’t out of place in a windies ATG xi by any means

Not at ATG level, nah. He'll bowl a few overs of course but he should get thwacked.
“He was a superb fast-medium bowler who often, as Sir Donald Bradman once remarked, "was too busy scoring runs to worry about bowling." When he was roused - as he once was by Essex bowling bouncers at the Gloucestershire batsmen - his pace could be devastating. "I never saw a man bowl faster for Gloucestershire than Wally did that day," said Tom Goddard, "and he not only battered them, he bowled them out as well."
