Son of a friend has real potential as a white ball batter who claims not to be interested in red ball cricket

Has been offered a contract to play overseas this summer & that would naturally entail missing half the grade season or thereabouts

All expenses paid & he will be playing in a franchise type system for development players which provides good exposure

Basically going down the Tim David route at a younger age

Biggest downside (or only one that I can see) is that the state association is unlikely to be thrilled so can probably forget about being in state squads anytime soon

This wasn't a good knock from Doran. Kept Tas out of reach the whole chase and everyone around him had to take more risks and throw away their wickets to make up for it. If they were chasing 220 it would have been a good innings but they weren't and he basically won the game for Victoria

Apparently, they stopped showing scorecards so that fewer people could predict the probability of the outcome of events

Yeah, they controversially started using a new site which isn't ready. While MyCricket had more bugs than the Amazon Rainforest, the new site is somehow much harder to use and less useful in nearly every way. No-one is really happy with it. You can poke around and see what comes up.

Ended up buying the Advertiser for once pretty much specificially for the grade scores, even they didn't have them. What a farce
