Less talked about excellent players

Jayro

U19 12th Man
Name some players that you think are mentioned fewer times compared to how good they actually were, they were dropped or their career cut short either due to injuries or for bad management,or they were not as flashy as the other big guys of the game but rather as effective as anybody who was top shelf, the one who is coming to my mind is Brett Shultz from South Africa who was fearsome when he played but had extremely short career because of his injuries.

Slifer

International Captain
For WI , Collie Smith. Could've been a very good all rounder in the averaging 35+ with the bat and under 30 with the ball mould but for a tragic accident that cut his life shirt.

Scarily, Sobers was in the same accident but survived.

Xuhaib

International Coach
Shoaib Mohammad averages higher then his father Hanif who is seen rightfully as a legend. Among all batsman who made debuts in 80's for Pakistan his is the highest average even more then Salim Malik who would be a Pakistan great if fixing had not tarnished him.

Unlike his dad he was more of a home track bully but 2 centuries in NZL vs Hadlee is not what many achieved in their careers.

An absolute wanker in real life though. His first wife was best friends with my mom was a real super nice lady, the bloke ended up having an affair with the younger girl working at her saloon and then marrying her in secrecy.
