also interesting: how spread out the top knocks are. Even Bradman only has five in the top 100 (though DoG might not have put all his innings through the woodchipper?) (and yet that's still an outlier cos I think G Chappell is next with three?)

I hardly see anyone talk about that Sehwag 201*. I obviously didn't see it but just statistically it's a truly remarkable innings, out of 329 with only two other batsmen in double figures.

Generally acclaimed as his greatest innings and one of the best played in the subcontinent in the last few decades. Murali and Mendis were unplayable.

74 different batsmen for 100 innings. Bradman has 5 as you say then Greenidge is next up with 4. Then Chappell, Lara and Root have 3 each.

I'm kinda interested for a top 100 (or whatever) listing of bowling attacks. New Zealand in 2022 having a higher score than all Australian teams seems weird.

iirc in his last list it was Kallis, Waugh and Border with more players between Kallis and Waugh than Waugh and Border, could be misremembering though.

Must be misremembering, Kallis never played any significant innings while Border and Waugh played many great innings...

Is there a way of doing it proportionally?

Do you mean by percentage of overs bowled? Should I include all bowlers in the innings? If I did that would probably make it worse for Laxman, since Australia used 9 bowlers in total.

You could argue that the Australian attack wasn't entirely suited for the conditions. They played three quicks and one spinners, whereas two specialist spinners would have been better. Was MacGill on that tour?

People do talk about. Nobody talks about Anwar's 188* though which is a similar knock.
