Good to see a few of the quote/unquote lesser rugby nations getting a look in, although I do fear for Malaysia and Sri Lanka a little.Got tickets to watch the rugby in Coventry
it's sevens isn't it? so just a quick 0-28 and move onGood to see a few of the quote/unquote lesser rugby nations getting a look in, although I do fear for Malaysia and Sri Lanka a little.
Yeah, sorry, didn't mean fear for their health, more for their competitiveness.it's sevens isn't it? so just a quick 0-28 and move on
My Sri Lankan friends have told me that rugby is very popular in Sri Lanka. 120,000 registered players or something. But yeah, that doesn't seem to have translated into international success!Good to see a few of the quote/unquote lesser rugby nations getting a look in, although I do fear for Malaysia and Sri Lanka a little.
According to Migara these are actually better players than Dan Carter."Notable Sri Lankan players include Len Saverimutto, who is the father of scrum half Christian Saverimutto, who was capped three times for Ireland in the 1995–96 season."
Len Saverimutto is a chucker.According to Migara these are actually better players than Dan Carter.
At the Commonwealth Games to boot...Imagine getting to fulfil a lifelong dream to represent your country but having to go to ****ing Birmingham to do it ffs. Dire.
Absolutely. It's not because Malaysians don't like sports, they love them. It's more down to organisation and climate. That's why they tend to be good at individual sports played in air-conditioned stadiums like squash and badminton. There is a cultural aspect too and the ethnic division doesn't help. The hockey team is 100% Malay these days. The cricket team is mixed Malay and Indian. The badminton players are all Chinese.Malaysia really should be much better than they are at one of rugby or cricket. Like at least a Canada level rugby team or Bangladesh level cricket team
Do you even commonwealth bro
Lee Chong Wei would inexplicably lose to Chinese players in Olympic finals.I thought the badminton players were fairly good? though inexplicably prone to losing to Danes in random moment
