If I was Ben Curran I would take it because I’m not sure he will be a long term county player.

Not conducive to the development of spin bowling or the art of building a long innings. Lots of seam movement even with the old ball.

Hmm, Somerset were slated for decades for having too flat a pitch, then for having too spin friendly a one, and now for a seaming one, it's new I suppose.

My question was about whether it was sub standard to a degree that the powers that be might deem it unworthy and dock points. A lot of wickets fell and not many runs were scored but I haven't seen any of it.

I watched a fair bit of it online. Difficult pitch for sure but not substandard I would think. Nothing was keeping low or rearing off a good length.

He's a fine county bowler but looks completely impotent at the highest level, which shows the jump in class.

He averages >22 in domestic FC with near 300 wickets, don't think that's just "fine".
Doesn't stop him looking out of his depth at international level though. I really don't think it matters how many wickets he takes in the CC, he just hasn't got the tools to get top quality batsmen out.
