This ia turning into such a great tour for them to miss. You imagine Anderson would probably have bowled about 30 overs for 30 odd runs but unlikely they would be taking a bunch of wickets.Would Broad and Anderson be taking wickets? Genuine question.
Yeah, I think Branderson should have gone, but there's no way anyone is running through sides on these pitches, they're just too ****ing slow, even when there's movement, even half-decent bats can see it coming, or it doesn't carry. This ia turning into such a great tour for them to miss. Reckon there would have been some more serious talk about needing to move on from them to win away etc. As it is I would be amazed if they are both not back at the start our summer.Yeah, I think Branderson should have gone, but there's no way anyone is running through sides on these pitches, they're just too ****ing slow, even when there's movement, even half-decent bats can see it coming, or it doesn't carry.
Still think they'd maybe have made in-roads with the new ball last Test when there was a bit in the wicket, but that's about the only time they may have made a difference. Oh and yes both of them are better opening bowlers than Chris Woakes, Overton or Fisher so intrinsically there's a slightly better chance of a wicket, but again just slightly.
Honestly, at this point we have to take what ever morsels we can get. At least they got the lead to under 100.So I admire the guts and determination it took to bat for so long, but I can't help but feel we were unecessarily negative. Just 30-50 more runs would have made it almost impossible for England to set a target.
I really miss proper West Indian batsmanship.
I wonder how many balls Leach bowled to Kraigg and what the run rate was of that battle. Can’t decide which is more boring - 444 deliveries of Kraigg or 60 overs of Leach.
If only WI took a wicket last night and Eng sent Leach in to bat. We’d get to see the reverse.I wonder how many balls Leach bowled to Kraigg and what the run rate was of that battle.
Leach to Brathwaite: 212 balls for 48 runs at a SR of 22.64 (not counting extras).I wonder how many balls Leach bowled to Kraigg and what the run rate was of that battle.
