That said, at least it's usually only sung once a day at most. I just can't believe those who want it as a national anthem.
I liked the pommy commentator's description of Permaul as a 'roller'. When I was watching yesterday's highlight it did look like he wasn't putting many revs on the ball.

I'd certainly like to see Mahmood given a spell tonight, before the ball gets too old. I was thinking instead of Leach, who's settled into less than threatening mode. But fair point about Stokes too.

Our attack is beyond mediocre and Joe Root is a terrible captain as he proved once again last session. It's the mediocrity of the batting and bowling that makes predictions quite hard.
West Indies around 320-6 at the end of the day. England bowling tight but without penetration. Wickets gifted rather than hard-won.

So far Campbell has wafted to an average ball outside off stump and Brooks has hit a long hop outside off to backward point. It's just not acceptable at this level.
Our guys bowled some really good deliveries on the first day without any reward and yet we gift wickets like that?

Mahmood being given 6 overs out of 41 is shocking! Either Root is just a plain bad captain (very likely) or he isn't looking to keep Mahmood in the side (seems just as likely).
