I'm amazed that Jermaine Blackwood has played so many tests with a sub-30 average given that many of his dismissals seem so hapless.

Something for Jimmy Adams to consider. The HPC should help in some way.
Yeah I think 2 directions of travel for me as the status quo clearly can't be maintained.

Option 1 is bring in the white ball specialist Lewis and Pooran on the basis of talent because we have a paucity of options and they are extremely talented.

Option 2 is to choose the best young players in the FC system and go with them, knowing they'll need some time. For example, Carty and Athanazae.

Option 1 is the least likely one to happen...gone are the days when selectors would be bold enough to bring in talented players from a young age.... the Sarwans, Gayles, Jerome Taylor, and who can forget Fidel Edwards.

It's interesting that they will still do it for quicks like Jayden. My guess is if they felt a batsman was special enough, they would do it. Still, it's early days with these selectors, lets see what they come up with in future.

Kraiggs a solid batter for the windies surprising his average is in the low 30s
Basically, he had a horror run from 2018 to 2020. That took his average from high 30's to low 30's. Hopefully he is through that now and bringing it slowly back up.

Thing I like about him is that his willing to fight it out and not give his wicket away easily unlike some the other windies batters when it gets tough

It’s still weird thinking England didn’t pick Broad and Anderson for this series but will be considered in England. I know it’s mainly been the batters problem but I think they should move on from both of them. I still think they’ll cop a few losses to Nz, India and South Africa in the upcoming tests this year even with both of them playing. But I think they should try build something new instead of always relying on them.

Same thing happened after the 2015 World Cup when they moved on from them in the shorter formats and that was one of the best decisions the England boards ever made

ANother thing is the quality of the players we have is a few notches below some of the top tier teams.
I mean youngsters in Bangladesh play far more FC matches than our youngsters....

If this is our bowling attack for the next few years we are in for a lot of pain.We are desperate for Archer to be fit but who backs him up as Robinson and Wood are so unfit to last more than a couple of tests.why are we not playing a leg spinner on these dross pitches

Yeah we have a huge problem in our structure when it comes to getting experience for 19-23 year olds. Fingers crossed they have identified that and the academy will help.
