Looked plumb in real time and close. Roach isn't tall so bounce wasn't going to be an issue. Root stays below that 50 average for now. Peach.

I don’t know if Windies can draw this again no matter how flat it seems to be. If a few of their top betters go there isn’t much reliance on guys like Blackwood and Campbell right now

This is what confuses me tbh. I think West Indies can beat this England side on surfaces that assist the fast bowlers, just as we did back in 2019. But the two roads prepared here nullify our best asset and basically pit England's batting against ours. Given England at least have Root, Stokes and this version of Bairstow, that is a battle they win IMHO.

That is why I feel we have basically sacrificed this series for $$$$. It is just sad that world cricket is structured in a way that makes this a neccessity for CWI to do this to survive.

I hope I'm wrong and that Blackwood scores a 180 ball century... but I suspect I am right.

Is it just me that thinks that was stupid batting from Stokes? If he batted properly and got England up to 600 it was just pile the pressure on us even more. Feels like he just gifted us some respite.
