Hi Molle - what is the story with the thread on the stumped board? Whether or not it is relevant the manager is indeed breaking the rules because he clearly has an affiliate who is not designated as such - he has not exactly tried to conceal it though with similar team and manager names!!

Is this concerning the bot manager who has my username?

I made a team some time last year and forgot about it…this resulted in Deep Backward Square CC going into the hands of the computer.

I later signed up with the same SillyCowCorner1 username, but this time I was ‘paying’ them…I took on an affiliate team (GG CC), and the rest was history.

The developers can change the name of that bot team how they see it fit…but I am having an awesome time with the two teams I currently manage (Moooo CC and GG CC).

Err is Molle not in the CWC ? I might have made a mistake - I see his name and play him so often that I thought he was in CWC - its hard to Keep track of the names of folk on here and their manager and team names- I might have dropped the ball !!! as it were! oh well at least cnerd123 liked it!

Yea Molle isn't a CWer, but I saw that post and boy did that escalate quick haha. How do they know the thread starter is a cheat? How does anyone know actually? I've never noticed the trends that these other managers pick up on.

Well certainly it is no good to start swearing on the forums (I bet Tonks was licking his lips with pleasure- finally some real moderating to do lol ) .

That is the first time I ever saw someone do that on the forums and it was good that it was locked.

One thing I do notice though is that Raptors transfers most of his players to another team with the name Raptors and that they both have almost the same manager names, but they are not affiliated - so that is against the rules and maybe that is part of the story behind the cheating accusation....... But it was very strange because the first comment from Raptors is not rude or anything and suddenly there is the accusation of being a cheat and swearing. so I guess there is a lot more to it than we can see...

Actually the same manager is also running another team Werribee Tigers it seems (and even Victorian Bitter?), so whatever went on (and the language is unacceptable), there does seems to be some questions marks over this chap! he could be a wrong 'un .... the dear old thing!

Boxing Day cricket!

FHK have challenged Jojo while ZCC have challenged the Buy Ins to games on 26th Dec - @JOJOXI @Charlie B

FHK and ZCC have also arranged for the third of their mini-series tomorrow night, right after the CWC4 games are done. It's likely both teams will go full strength for this game too, tho there are talks about making this a 2nd XI Xmas friendly match, and playing the actual decider next week Thursday instead.

Also I never got around to answering this for @Marcuss, but the worst skills for a First XI senior player in our squads are:

ZCC Batting - 37 (20 yo Danial Ahsan) followed by 38 (Shahbaz Furqan). I count Arif Jalal (35) and Hashim Zahid (33) as allrounders.
ZCC Bowling - 36 (Arif Jalal)

FHK Batting - 34 (Agnes Chow) followed by 35 (Michael Kovrig). Allrounder Ivan Lam is 26.
FHK Bowling - 35 (Ivan Lam + Joshua Wong)
I've also got allrounder Michael Spavor who still plays a few games with 30 batting and 33 bowling.

that's a lot of math.

I like my WK to have at least 12-13 keeping skill. Higher the better.

I don't really think about minimum skills for my players outside of that. I just try to recruit the best youngsters that I can afford and then bring them up through the Dev system. Right now in the Dev side I've got quite a few bats wit 45 potential and a few bowlers in that range too.

Raun is the only 45+ skill player I have right now. Generational talent, will need another 50+ pot player to replace him eventually. Giddings was 50+ pot as well, now only 39 skill due to age.

My side is the lowest rated side in EurAfrica Div 1 and we're getting absolutely thumped. So I think to be a real tier one side you're looking at a lot of 40 skill players in the XI - maybe 5 batters and 4 bowlers? I don't have that yet. Can't afford it either.

Christmas Day CWC4 games!

FHK bowled out for 202 on home turf by AXI. Below par score I reckon. 53 from Kovrig dragging us past that 200 mark. Going to need to bowl well here. Lots of starts but no one kicking on and getting that big score. Rusty Frost has already taken 13 off the first over.

Meanwhile ZCC have piled on 389/8 against the hapless Hunks. 232 run opening partnership between Sajith and Shahbaz in just 28.1 overs - I'm disappointed we didn't get 400.

And as I type Ivan Lam -fresh from a 5-fer in the OD League yesterday - has picked up Frost with his first ball. Still 9 more wickets to go.

Excellent alpha-dom from Rusty. Last ball of his spell Pong Nam bops him for six. Next ball of the innings Frost takes a catch. And if that wasn't enough he reciprocated by hitting a six off Nam first ball of the chase. 12 (6) I actually kinda don't mind, lol.

Bullet-Arm Agnes Chow with 3 runouts as FHK bowl out AXI for just 179! Excellent spells by spin twins Lai O Yin and Lester Shum too - 17.2 - 1 - 55 - 4 combined figures. Excellent stuff.

Meanwhile the Hunks battle hard but are bowled out for just 159. 230 run win for ZCC, we're ahead of Schmaltzberg in NRR and Bonus Points, which means if we beat them in the rematch we will finish the group stage in 1st place. Game against Jojo on Tuesday another opportunity for us to build on that.
