I'd go for the youngsters. Or something in between i.e. 45-50K semi-serious side or full-strength bowling/batting. Reckon that NRR isn't really impacted by bot-bash margins much, and I'd prefer to get in the 2-games-a-week for the superkids. In your specific case possibly full-strength batting, IGT-bowling?

Relieved of keeping responsibilities, Dev captain Zac Chambers just hit 103 (77) from 6 in my bot bash SOD. How has Rusty not got a hundred but Chambers has? :p

I`ve gone full youngsters in the end... some first team bowlers and batsmen in there as is, and my batting youngsters need maximum IGT. But not blooding new batsmen yet. He will probably only play DEV for now.

GG CC lost in their SOD fixture. A match that I forget to set the order for. I really have to overhaul the default order.

Moooo are playing the Timezone Rejects, a team that's rated a cool 13k above us. We've played them before in the never-ending T20 Friendly league...

We're batting first on a decent wicket, the openers, Bart Way and Meyiwa have put on 81 for the 1st wicket in 18 overs so far. Good foundation being laid...

God, I know his name is Human but Bram's batting is unhuman. Lead run-scorer in the 77 (!) inter-SCC matches, with the three highest scores. Got this 100 up in 18 overs - at that stage four times the score of his captain and opening partner, Levy. What's more remarkable is that the centurions batted together for less than 5 overs! Oh, and Peter Sutherland is a legend. First 50 off 48 balls. Next 60 off 26 balls. These SCC matches are always great fun. 5 bowlers got 2 wickets in the second innings - in the denouement.

Played a SOD against the Orangutans, being evenly-matched around the 55K mark. The Buy-Ins have certainly bought in, being up at 56.7K. And the Astronauts have breached 56K also. The third tier of CW looks to be merging into the second tier, with the fourth tier (Schmaltzberg, Moooo, GG) being left behind. In terms of the game, Daniel Rowan chipped in with a fine 78 (92) in the back of the innings, but AXI failed the great metric of #RunsOnTheBoard. In 43.4 overs 229-8 was chased down comfortably by the MTOs, everyone who batted scoring 40 or more. Frans Potgieter was the only bowler to get any wickets.

AX-W breached 35K in an inter-team T20 friendly, but the tone was set early by the pinch-hitting opening duo of Frost & Potgieter. Frans hit effectively for 40 (23). While the experienced 3 & 4 failed to impact, Michael Winton showed his hitting efficacy with 57* (30). He's hit 52* (30) and 54* (30) for the club before, so continued with that little trick. The AXI bowling lineup was spin only. Old Man Dan Price hit 46 (31) at the top, but the rest couldn't keep the momentum going. 194-6 played 149-8.

Quite a few good all-round performances in there. Potgieter 40 (23) and 2-23 (4). Winton 57* (30) and 4-34 (4). Zac Chambers 23* (9) and 3 keeping dismissals. From the affiliate: Felix O'Callaghan 3-23 (3) and 20 (9). Price 1-32 (4) and 46 (31). Finally, Harry Todd got 1-23 (4) and 27 (33). More stats: it was a very spin-oriented game. The spinners bowled 31 overs and returned 13-224 (econ 7.23). The (medium-)pacers bowled just 9 overs and returned 1-117 (econ 13)!

@Magrat Garlick the fixtures for CWC4 haven't generated yet, but by my reckoning it should've started by now. Which... isn't a good sign.

We might get a round of 1970 games again.

I've updated my default XIs just in case the games get simmed with no notice. The Stumped Friendly Comp system is buggy, which is a shame for a potentially very useful feature.

Hyped for the CWC3 final. The Astronauts have already taken out the Plate, beating TMO by just 3 wickets, albeit with 12 overs to spare. Congrats to @Marcuss for his first piece of CWC silverware, and @StephenZA for a remarkable run in the KO stages aftet finishind dead last in the league!

GG CC vs Jura CC starts in in around 12 hours - I won't be awake for the start, but hopefully will get to witness an exciting conclusion to CWC3!

The inter-SCC matches are oftentimes fun. Moo's been getting the victories lately, but when GG gets hold of them in a matchup that favors them, it's utter demolition. Bram is a madman. Peter Sutherland takes it up a couple of notches.

In the latest encounter between the two sides, I felt that Bram had the potential to make a double-century, but he ran out of gas. Peter Sutherland has better stamina, and he can play the long innings. If he loves your bowling, he's gonna take his chances.

Jura CC are taking first dig in the final. Runs on the board are always important in a final.

GG CC have just picked up the second wicket:

6.4WErnst Levy to Tinozivaishe Zikhungwini 80.7 mphGOT HIM! Nagging line for this ball, Beautifully flighted delivery draws the batsman out of his crease as he looks to score. Zikhungwini tries to be clever, but all he manages is to serve it up on a platter. Aylmer dives forward to grab it, OUT!
That is very unfortunate, he'd not be expecting to get out to balls like that often.
