Clearly @Prince EWS needs to provide updated standardised averages.
I think it will be 93 odd for bradman,100 odd for peak bradman,75 odd for peak hobbs before world war 1 and 62 odd for career ,smiths peak would be 72 odd and 60 odd for career.this will most likely be top 3.Has there been any forum related judging 10 best cricket players by adjusted average,sr and all this things.

Couldn’t believe bradmans 50 innings peak adjusted strike rate was 70,bradman mayn’t have been a human ,strike rate of 70 and average of 101 at his peak.
it’s nice that hobbs finished at no.2 and smith at no.3,smith may get ahead of ‘the master’ in some years, will be hard though. That was what my 2 and 3 would be hobbs and smith .I was right,it’s-
1.Bradman

2.Hobbs
3.Smith

I haven’t got a video/article where bradman has talked abt hobbs,do you know any?bradman didn’t include ‘the master’ in his all time team which was surprising to me.

The story of the Fab 4 on this forum is it's a continuing cycle of 'X isn't good enough to belong in the Fab 4', where X rotates through each player*. Must be Kane's turn again. He's been up before, while Root and Kohli have also had a good go.

In truth Williamson has had a a leaner patch the last couple of years, though the WTC final was a welcome return to form. Won't do much for his average but scoring over 100 runs in a low-scoring, high-pressure final - top scorer of the match - was a massive performance.

* including Smith, because Blocky said so.

Why can't NZC just schedule a three test series in SA ffs. Williamson's barely played there. Hey Taylor's barely played there too, and he's near retirement.

Jeez it's a tough crowd when his Tests against West Indies and Pakistan last summer are considered part of an out-of-form lean period.

Yeah back to back big double hundreds can't be what they used to be. He took (and kept) the no1 test batting ranking from Smith for quite a while until Root went nuts.

Haha yes, though in fairness it's scoring home runs against visiting SC/WI bowling attacks that nowadays always struggle in NZ.
I was thinking more of the post-WC period that Flem mentioned. Not just the Aus series where he was facing a great bowling attack, but the other series around that time weren't particularly productive, and he didn't look as good as normal either.

Kane vs WI and Pakistan

WI 1st test (batted once) 251
WI 2nd test (didn't play - paternity leave)

Pakistan 1st test 129 & 21 (hitting out for declaration)
Pakistan 2nd test (batted once) 238

Out of form??

251, 129, 21 (in declaration), 238

= Bradmanesque summer (almost 700 runs in 4 innings)

I don't think anyone thinks Kane should be out of the fab4. Or at least I don't lol and think he should definitely be there. There's just a lot of holes in his record compared to Root, but I guess those aren't really his fault. I think it's probably better to wait till he retires before comparing him as he probably still has a lot of cricket left in him and should get chances to fix his record.
