I said I avoided it until recently. Having small children and no patience at all for Trump, I basically avoided any news at all until this year. Except for, well, what I couldn't avoid.I don't really have any interest in social media or news stuff. Anyway here's a bunch of news stories I've heard about online.
Lacrosse case summary (it's a bit old now, but again, it was big at the time):i know what the civil standard of proof is i study law (but given you probably didn't know that that's fine)
understandable gunn was on the top of your head because it's a "prominent example", and frankly i have no idea what you're talking about with the "lacrosse team"; you will have to link me in for that one. in regards to the BLM protests, china, and peterson, i can't bring myself to care about property damage in drawing attention to the state-sponsored murder of people tbh, and i don't see how the other two are remotely relevant. i posit also that the us social justice movement is not mad, in that there's nothing mad about wanting equality for minorities and vulnerable groups - i posit also if you'd suggest people like nancy pelosi et al are awful, i agree, but they're not from "the left". as someone who spends far too much time mixing with lefties both online and in person (which isn't to say i have no tory friends and live in the proverbial "echo chamber"), i can tell you with a great deal of confidence that "cancellations" are not the exclusive domain of the left, nor one of our main or primary concerns
edit:
btw i don't mean to sound disrespectful by the above comment and apologies if i did. definitely intended to mock starfighter, who though i regard as a cool dude felt his comments were dumb, but we're in good faith here
I honestly prefer this over "he's scored runs in the three Shield games this season".To try remove this conversation back towards the Ashes itself, let's talk about incumbency.
How much of role do you think it will play in Aus's batting selections? A lot, or very a lot?
I don't when the incumbents are failures. I at least prefer trying new failures to dredging up the same ones over gain.I honestly prefer this over "he's scored runs in the three Shield games this season".

Heard an interesting stat today. If Joe Root scores more than around 80 more runs than Paine in the first 2 tests......he'll have scored more runs this calender year than Tim Paine has in his entire career.Looking forWARD to Tim slapping Anderson around like a red headed stepchild come the Ashes this summer.
FTFYHeard some Barmy Army facebook clickbait today. If Joe Root scores more than around 80 more runs than Paine in the first 2 tests......he'll have scored more runs this calender career than Tim Paine has in his entire career.
It's not nearly as big of a Paine diss as "the coach has more recently scored a FC ton than the captain", especially when they changed coaches and it was still true.FTFY
I mean, technically not untrue, but a completely meaningless statement in any actual context
I see you support the promotion of foetuses based on one innings when it suits you.Seriously, Wardy would do no worse than Spud Harris, who's a proven liability. Get the kid in there.
Good side but I think Tim David would slot in nicely at 5.Warner

should be the team, with the Pillow in for Warner by test three, as the latter is a shot duck.
Would be great to make him ineligible for Singapore in that way.Good side but I think Tim David would slot in nicely at 5.
