Think a good way to imagine Miller was having Mark Waugh (batting and fielding) and Jason Gillespie (bowling) rolled into one player.

He was a hell of a player, and is in the top 5 all rounders of all time, imo
+ movie-star looks and a war hero

I'm getting excited here

I still can't get over How Hutton isn't one of the two best openers ever, far less for an Ashes XI. To me easily top 6 batsman of all time, period.
Hobbs-Sutcliffe is just such a gun partnership. Hutton's in my top 6 batters all time but is fighting for a spot in my AT XI.

If we are doing Ashes teams based on their Ashes exploits, Chappell has a relatively poor record in Engand. Also both Waugh and Border were Ashes giants and at least one of them should be considered.
