Some comm talked about committing to big fifth day chases. It's a big jump, from talking about what could happen at the end of Day 4 to actually going for it. Ideally, Root would've needed a Stokes in full cry to be serious about this. He might still do it on his own the way he's playing but you sense they're running out of time.Too much hype behind this final day, has been dull so far. England being too conservative IMO, hopefully Root will show some "intent". Jadeja isn't getting too much help against the right handers tbh.
He might struggle to rotate the strike when the field goes back, especially when there's a man deep square on the off side.Pretty much this. Obviously I'll take an opener who's made two fifties out of three attempts this series, but, as LT said, he is rather odd.
What's his background? Poor background done good?Siraj is a proper dickhead lol.
It’s still slightly endearing because of his background and newness but I wonder if that’ll wear off.

dhoni wouldn't have either if it was a tight game but we were losing that game so bad so it was an irrelevant act of "spirit"Imagine the controversy. Kohli isn't a melt like Dhoni though so correctly would never have withdrawn the appeal
The current RRR is slightly above 3.7, but that's kind of misleading as they can't score many against Jajeda bowling into the leg-side rough against the right-handers. Throw in Hameed's lack of scoring options, and England won't be getting close to winning this one. To be fair to Hameed, if he finishes with an unbeaten 90 that helps secure a draw, I won't be complaining. Some comm talked about committing to big fifth day chases. Siraj, Rohit and Vihari playing in Sydney must have been a record for no. of players in the XI from the United Andhra Region.Puts the bad in Hyderabad

If he was a leftie, you could be thinking of dear old Rigor Richardson. He might struggle to rotate the strike when the field goes back, especially when there's a man deep square on the off side.
I'm sure I've seen a batsman like that before but I can't remember who it was. Just couldn't score at all against a semi-defensive field, but always got to 50 because opposing captains thought it would be unmanly to start with a conservative field.

Thorpe was a bit like that, but not to the extent that you described. He went through a phase of regularly making half centuries but not going on with it.He might struggle to rotate the strike when the field goes back, especially when there's a man deep square on the off side.

How many Telugu Test cricketers of note have we had?Siraj, Rohit and Vihari playing in Sydney must have been a record for no. of players in the XI from the United Andhra Region.
Out of the 5-6 we’ve produced who’ve played at least a test, 3 (Azhar, VVS, Rohit) are some of the classiest stroke makers you’d ever see.How many Telugu Test cricketers of note have we had?
VVS, Azhar, Venkatapaty Raju.
Why are you surprised after Hameed's shot and the earlier almost run out? Hameed does not look settled out there. You guys just have to hope he does not take down Root with him.A run-out? Really? How brainless is that? Fair enough if they bowl us out but what sort of braindead idiocy throws a wicket away like that?
