He should be bowling Ali more if he’s in the team as the front-line spinner. Root has less clue than I thought. Bowling himself over Ali now. Even if this works it makes no sense - Ali is a far better bowler.
Tbf that’s a better over than Moeen’s bowled all game.

It's times like these you want to hit them in the face and you want 150kph to do it.
I haven't seen an actual speed reading, but from the eye-test I don't reckon Mahmood would get to 150kph bowling with a gale in his back.

I reckon he's the most egregiously one-dimensional pitch-basher I've seen for a while, with a stock ball that goes completely straight and only sort of fast, and a change-up ball that goes straight and a bit slower. Not cos it's a slower ball, but because he's tired.

I'm sure I've not seen enough of him to judge though, hold your fire Pommy fans.

Thought that over was pretty loose to be honest, part time all over it

It was a just a ball comfortably outside off the didn’t turn that got the breakthrough - lol. Your post smells of confirmation bias. I’ll take the wicket of course.

Lol, ok fair. I've only heard about him from the poms.

I like Stone a lot but he's crocked for now. Bowled really well in India I thought. Cricket is a contact sport and every team worth their salt needs a bit of heat or someone who can hit them in the head.

Interesting that England are only 7/4 right now. Bookies consider this as much of a featherbed as I do. England need to get these last 2 wickets asap tho
