Congrats Bangladesh
its probably his decision to continue making these pitchesGood to see the Bangladesh team owner celebrating the win with fellow board officials.
Winning is good for his health.
The back to back matches don't help over the course of the series, but they're well capable of producing different sorts of pitches at Mirpur. Just a couple of months ago against Sri Lanka they managed to produce a green seaming track with some pace and lateral movement on offer. Is it that Bangladesh can't prepare better decks due to overuse of this ground with back to back games or they deliberately produce that sort of pitches to keep the supporters happy?
There's not even any doubt about this I reckon. He wants to be able to get to the end of a year or two-year cycle and cite all the wins under his leadership.its probably his decision to continue making these pitches
Perhaps a fair call to get anotherbits and pieces spin allrounder in the side, but the extent to which Ajaz looked head and shoulders above every other NZ bowler makes me think there’s still a place for old fashioned specialists in these kinds of conditions.Larsen may actually believe Michael Bracewell has got an outright bowling edge on Somerville now. The Plunket Shield stats wouldn't lie on such a thing.
Wellington Firebirds all-rounder Michael Bracewell would have been selected for the Bangladesh T20s and Pakistan ODIs, but made himself unavailable as he awaits the birth of his first child.
The last match against Australia ended three weeks before. They had ample opportunities to prepare a somewhat flat deck. Khaled Masud said today that it’s possible to change the nature of pitches here within 10 days or so. I guess the board doesn’t want it.The back to back matches don't help over the course of the series, but they're well capable of producing different sorts of pitches at Mirpur. Yes I know the Aces saw the true worth of Somerville on a tour of the UAE. All the silly little NZ Super Smash players looked more than one tier down from him in non-NZ conditions.Perhaps a fair call to get anotherbits and pieces spin allrounder in the side, but the extent to which Ajaz looked head and shoulders above every other NZ bowler makes me think there’s still a place for old fashioned specialists in these kinds of conditions.
