Whatever it takes!!!
Good catch there by Virat to get Mo but why the **** are they still standing that back? They were closer next ball and finally a slip catch was actually taken at waist height.

Look really unlucky there Siraj is a pantomime figure, but umps call should mean you'll get one given out. Good decisions my arse, safe decisions more like.

TBF I'd have snatched your arm off for 340 before play started today, so think any more runs from here are a bonus.

Game's gonna be set up in the third innings.

Can't be two many batsman who've faced two hat-trick balls in one innings either, can there?
This is all unquestionably true. But having got to tea where we did, with the ball no longer new and the bowlers theoretically tiring, I thought we might be able to push home our advantage. Now that was silly after how ever many years I've been watching England, but one does occasionally have these moments of optimism. tbf to India, I do think they did really well to control the run rate after tea, and wickets can happen when guys are bowling well at the lower order.

EDIT
And there goes Robbo as I type. Assuming we're bowling tonight, I wonder how their openers will go after a day and a half in the field.

Gotta give those in real time surely. Root's deceptively tall but come on, below knee roll on a slow pitch...just looked out.

I suppose my logic is that Root's knackered and we're unlikely to get much of a lead so Wood may as well try and hit a few in time for us to have 20 minutes at them tonight. But I know that others will see it differently.

EDIT
As I'm following this on cricinfo I have no idea what India's field looks like. But if they're trying to keep Wood on strike in the new over, I'd guess there are safe hits beyond the in-field.
