I'm seeing a pattern in most of these, in that the batsman plays it really, really bad making it look incredible

Nope. Played at the standard 30fps.
The first replay in that video is definitely faster than reality. Look at the jerky fast way all the fielders and the batsman move after the wicket.

The frame rate of the Youtube video means nothing - it's the frame rate of the digitally encoded video - and it reveals ignorance to say it was filmed at 30 fps when the standard film rate was 24 fps and for economy films were often made at a lower frame rate (say 18-20fps) then played back at 24, creating the classic sped-up newsreel appearance. This absolutely looks it like was played back at a higher rate than it was filmed at.

Yeah I thought it was pretty obvious

The best delivery from Warne was his bowled of Saeed Anwar in 99. Not sure the degree of spin, but it was a flat and faster delivery.

The Gatting ball being so famous is hardly just about the quality of the ball itself, no? The context, the build-up, the media scepticism about Warne in the lead-up, the fact it was his first ball in the Ashes, what it signified to his broader career etc

Yeah, Doesn't get any more Plumb than that, hitting the base of middle, and definitely not hitting the bat.
Look very very closely, rewind and look again in slo-mo. The ball ever so slightly touches the outside edge of bat at .33

Yeah, course it is. The towelling at the hands of Hick in the warm-up etc. Mind you, without all the context, the amount of drift x turn it still sticks out as a purely ridiculous delivery.

I don't start threads but it would be interesting to see the candidates for a 'shot of the century'.

Warne has bowled many many deliveries that have spun way more than Getting ball.. Favorite was bowling Saeed Anwar. But there are plenty others.

Yeah it completely changed his life tbh.

Allowed him to blossom into the complete man-whore he later became.
