This Australian men's basketball team are the kings of the heroic loss and I'm sick of it. We will win no medal because we keep making excuses. This USA team literally has no game plan for half the game. We made so many stupid mistakes we don't deserve a medal.

The Americans didn't even bother turning up for the first quarter and a half. They had nobody there defending it and we were only up by 15. Total throw by Australia. Harder chokers than SA in a world cup.

You can't make up the gap in talent between these teams (men's and women's) with hard work. The gap is so ****ing large, it's incomprehensible. The gap between the elite talent of the NBA and even the middling talent is so great. One player can make such a massive difference in a sport where you only play 5 at a time.

The Aussies played ****ing hard and were coached extremely well by Goorj. Their defensive rotations and energy were elite. Kevin Durant is one of the ten best basketball players of all time. It doesn't ****ing matter how hard you try.

They do but none of them are genuinely top tier NBA players. Slovenia and France's best players are leagues ahead of Patty Mills, and in basketball, how good your best player is matters a great deal. Theyve put on a perfectly respectable show.
