That was a surprisingly good session from India there. Bumrah was getting plenty of movement for the first time in a long-time, Siraj looking like a true attacking option, Thakur looking like a poor-man's Tim Southee (in a good way) and Shami bowled exceptionally well to no reward.

FJ's point is the topic of discussion on TMS as we speak. One pov is that there's no point in him hanging around for a couple of hours as he doesn't actually hurt sides. The other pov is that he makes life easier for the middle order by seeing off the new ball. That and us having little in the way of alternatives, so a top 3 each averaging 30 is probably as good as we'll get at present.
