the house where emma mckeon lives (population 1 to 10) has won now 7 medals from 1 athlete sent to the olympics, emma mckeon, four gold and three bronze
All depends on how its weighted and which per capita table you look at - San Marino have like half the pop of BermudaI think Bermuda's gold outweighs San Marino's silver and bronze?
Glorious finish that was.Tie with GB in the sailing, GB get the gold on a boundary countback
Yeah the space I mentioned was Phelps’ homethe house where emma mckeon lives (population 1 to 10) has won now 7 medals from 1 athlete sent to the olympics, emma mckeon, four gold and three bronze
just got this lol. Googled Michael Phelps to try and one-up you and then I was like "oh"There's a 6,010 sqft area in Paradise Valley with a population of 5 that has now won 23 Gold medals
Yeah and typical of the Olympics they remove that class in future after us winning it 6 times in a row.Really tight finish between GB and Hungary in the sailing, with GB taking the medal.
They can take our marginal gains, they can take our finn class boats, but they'll never take our excessive amount of lottery spending.Yeah and typical of the Olympics they remove that class in future after us winning it 6 times in a row.
Well July is the hottest monthDane just wasn't looking, stupid prat.
Anyway, what a day for Britain.
Just said on BBC that Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny, Steve Redgrave and Mo Farah all share the same birthday. Ridiculous fact that our who's who of Olympic greats all born on March 23rd.
Yeah I think it was always on the cards that we wouldn't do as well. As Howe posted the other day though, we've definitely diversified the sources of our medals in the past few Olympics away from mostly rowing and cyclingWhich was expected but many still thought we would rack up the golds here. Still a fantastic day for GB so far with 2 golds 3 silver and a bronze so far and hopefully a boxing gold soon to add.
As long as we get a medal in Athletics I would imagine we will be the nation who get medals in most different sports. Obviously helps getting one in Weightlifting that we never do.Yeah I think it was always on the cards that we wouldn't do as well.
