Low-wear but very high moisture in slight defence of your batsman although thought we were 10-15 short, would've thought 150 would be a very competitive score - your bowlers done well just not really supported by batters I guess.135-7 should've been an acheivable total for a T20 on a low-wear pitch. But playing WCC at home is tough. 63 all out.
Joshua Wong has been out-bowling him in Dev cricket, and I figured his pace and variations could be useful in those conditions. He bowled well, was actually the pick of the bowlers in terms of ball quality, bowled a gem to get Rowan as well. Just not enough runs on the board.Out of interest, why didn't Ted Hui play?
Surely that's a fair way away. (I thought before noticing that Hui is suddenly at 31 skill...)The way Hui and Wong are developing, I may have to consider dropping one of Lester Shum or Pong Nam from the T20 starting XI to accommodate them both.
Hui and Wong both have good skill distributions for T20s + pace as well, which gives them an edge of Shum/Nam in several conditions.Surely that's a fair way away. (I thought before noticing that Hui is suddenly at 31 skill...)
Similar topic: just noticed that FHK bowlers have quite low batting compared to my side. Of course, with their quality future all-rounders it's likely to not be a big problem.
Oh yeah, didn't notice pace. Shum being economical helps his case, just feels weird dropping a 40/39 skill player for a 31/29.Hui and Wong both have good skill distributions for T20s + pace as well, which gives them an edge of Shum/Nam in several conditions.
Yea, and I'm more inclined to keep Pong Nam on because he's got 12 variation. Lester's only got 9. He's got 15 movement, but that doesn't mean much when the pitch isn't conducive to spin. Economical is a good trait but the overall effect of it isn't enough to neutralise the fact he's just predictably lobbing up offbreaks.Oh yeah, didn't notice pace. Ah, you're playing the team that went up from my league last year.ZCC have lost the toss and been put in to field one a somewhat dry and worn deck. Their openers have gotten them off to a flier - not ideal, need Luke Giddings to pull them back or else we'll be in for a large runchase away from home, which is something I do not want.
Haven't bowled too badly, conditions just don't suit the quicks and their openers have played well.
