Stumped!

That is very interesting ! I know they say that the number is a sublevel so he could have been 15.49 and gone to 15.59 but still the point remains that he improved at 30 so that blows what I thought I had learnt out of the water - was he a late bloomer ??
At that low level it's fairly easy to keep skills by game time, because higher skills decline faster. Might even have been a jump from 0 to 1. It doesn't really help for players in regular human leagues though (useful to know for keeping part-time bowlers alive I guess)

Tough loss ata, I think the spinners were so hard to score off so that they had to slash loose at Ancell and Owen. In the end 281 is a big target.

Morpork's juniors are playing MTO today, the selection has been based almost purely on players with least XP: Mthabela+, Savundranayagam, Hughes, Fouche jr., Goliath, Jan, Hollioake, Mlaba, Hozier, Arnold*, Alam
This is not a dig at you Magrat (probably your answer is correct!) but I love how everyone (myself included) always manages to contrive the strangest theories to justify the results. we want to believe the ME is like an omnipotent logic machine from an episode of the original Star Trek , when if we pulled back the door it is actually just a room of babbling monkeys producing random numbers and hitting buttons whilst enjoying a tea party!!:goof:

Stop whatever you are doing lend me your attention for a few sentences.

Moooo conitnues their now routine Tuesday morning 40 over-friendly against big brother GG CC.

There will be new faces in both teams.

Jagdeep Patel for GG CC
Henry Dyson for Mooo

Match starts in just over an hour.

I`m playing just about a full strength team... but going for a more aggressive approach this match. See how it pans out!

I think that some of it is more thematic than logical... try to explain the behaviour based on what thematically could have occurred (even if not likely correct!). More immersive that way.

Hopefully the little calves take some of the energy from Saturday's big win

I do think the ME is significantly better than completely random, and from large sample sizes we see the better teams win more often, and you can see your own players perform better under certain conditions or with certain orders that suit them.

But much like RL cricket, there are countless different factors in play, and sometimes we attribute results to patterns that are more easily visible to us.

It's why I like stumped tbh. Feels much more like real cricket than BT or FTP ever did.

Vethanayagam is such a good new-ball bowler. In the game against ZCC last Saturday, he made the early breakthrough and that allow the other bowlers to apply the pressure.

Today, in his first over against GG CC he gets Bram Human for a golden duck!

Just need to continue now...line and length should be enough on this ground against the tail

MTO are 106/3 but Tyagi's blockathon might have cost them
