Most Underrated Cricketers in Cricket Chat

The Tiger King
Mohinder Amarnath is one underrated guy on here.

Quite the anti-HTB

Did pretty well even in the WI at their peak

Shady Slim

International Coach
i won't say he's one of the most underrated cricketers across all of CC but let me just say m vijay's 2013-14 border gavaskar was really frickin' good. and it's a performance that doesn't get talked about enough - kohli got all the headlines here but vijay was an absolute rock, and arguably had it harder as an opener too

You could add Gautam Gambhir here. His name lazily gets mentioned among Indian subcontinent bullies but he has had superb series in SENA countries.

Vijay played amazing in Australia, SA and Eng on those back to back overseas tours in 2014-15 on some seriously unfriendly decks (Australia aside). His second innings 95 at Lords was a brilliant innings but was overshadowed by Rahane's gem on day 1 and Ishant's meme spell. He was arguably our most consistent batsman in that brutal run of away series.

Whatever it takes!!!
Stupidly in 2018 he started saying he was going to play more shots and that became his undoing. If he had stuck around in the famous "Shaam thak Khelenge" game, we could have very well won that series. :(

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
I'm gonna say Mo-Yo.

Already loved watching him bat when he went by Yousuf Youhana, then he had that insane year and IMO became greater than Younus Khan and Inzy. But feel he's rated a clear 3rd amongst those guys when being discussed here.

Has an argument for Pak's best ever bat IMO. I'm sure there's holes in his record but that 2006 was just *chefs kiss*

peter siddle. spent almost his entire career having people moan he was there in place of someone from the glass quartet. without him half of them would be broken in little pieces. probably the best australian 3rd seamer i've seen until cummins came along, and im including lee in this.

he was a thoroughly decent bowler who bowled long spells with the old rock and has a solid record to show for it, but you'd think he averaged 35 the way australians whined whenever he was selected. how's the career of james pattinson, world conquerer, looking? or mitchell starc, he who australians moan about constantly yet is rigorously defended whenever someone suggests he's less good than some random englishman/saffer/kiwi?

siddle was a good bowler who was unfortunate enough not to bowl ***y and you guys should just admit it.

people say this? i rate him highly

U19 12th Man
Md Yousuf is a good shout since he has a superior overall record to Younis khan ( whose Odi record is quite dismal with an average barely above 30 when you talk about a batsman being among worlds bests) Yousuf is not generally given deserved credit for his overall better record.
