Note: The points are adjusted for each category so that the average points of top 60 run scorers for every 4-year period is 100. So a total points of 150 means the batsman has been 50% more effective than an average batsman over a period of 12 years.

Also interesting to see Kohli is comfortably ahead of Williamson (and Root but we knew that part anyway)
I rate Williamson highly and feel he should make top 10, but needs to play more games against quality opponents around the world. Hopefully NZ winning affords him the opportunity.

Peak: 1997-00
Longevity bonus: 5.5

Overall points: 150.2
Overseas points: 164.8
Best bowling attack points: 156.9
Peak points: 180.5

Runs: 15921
Average: 53.78

Most valuable series performances:
vs West Indies, 1994, Home, Runs- 402, Avg- 67.00
vs England, 1996, Away, Runs- 428, Avg- 85.60
vs Australia, 1998, Home, Runs- 446, Avg- 111.50
vs England, 2002, Away, Runs- 401, Avg- 66.83
vs Australia, 2003, Away, Runs- 383, Avg- 76.60

#Most valuable series are the ones that had the most impact on the total points earned.

If this ranking covers both formats of the game Sachin would be the numero uno. Probably the most complete batsman on the list with no apparent weaknesses, Sachin has amassed runs in all countries and in all conditions. Known for demolishing the best bowlers in the world, during his peak in the late 90s he earned 193 best bowling attack points against the invincible Aussies and Proteas. Has the most longevity points on the list not because of the length of his career but because of the quality of his second peak (2007-10), which happened two decades after his debut. No other batsman on the list has such a distinction.
